Caradon Hockey Club is supporting a national initiative to encourage mums and daughters to play sport together.

The club already has 15 pairs of mums and daughters playing for its four ladies’ teams and is keen to welcome new players to the sport.

Caradon is offering a free taster session at Lux Park Astro on Wednesday, October 5, at 6.45pm when mums and daughters will be given the opportunity to learn about hockey basics and participate in simple skills drills. Sticks will be available.

With the televised gold medal success of GB Women’s Hockey at the Rio Olympics, there has been a huge interest in the sport from the public. England Hockey is supporting the Cornwall Campaign.
