A SECOND-HALF hat-trick by Harry Jackson gave Looe Town an unexpected but well-deserved 3-0 win at Elburton Villa in the Under-13 Astor division of the Wrigley's Devon Junior and Minor League.
The visitors came into the game with confidence high after back-to-back wins, but having been thrashed at home by Villa 9-1 earlier in the season, the Sharks travelled more in hope than expectation of carrying on their good run.
Looe were denied an opening 'goal' on just ten minutes when the referee failed to spot that the ball had crossed the line from a Travis Smith cross-shot.
Further chances fell to Will Whiting and Zak Griffiths, while at the other end, goalkeeper Tom Pugh was rarely tested due to another excellent performance from a well-organised back four.
The breakthrough came ten minutes into the second period when Kieran Aldridge played Harry Jackson through to slot past the advancing Villa keeper.
