Millbrook gymnast Nyla Evely has been selected to represent Great Britain for the first time.
Eleven-year-old Nyla, a pupil at Carbeile School in Torpoint, will make her GB debut at the Louie Cup in Portugal in October.
Nyla, whose aim is to be chosen for the World Age Group Championships being held in Russia in November, has already qualified for the British and English Championships.
She was selected for the England Double Mini Trampoline squad in May and was then promoted to the GB squad.
Danny Anstey, her personal, and head coach at the City of Plymouth Trampoline and Gymnastics Club, said: ‘This is an incredible achievement for a girl of such a young age.
‘Nyla’s work ethic and determination has been a key factor in her achieving selection to represent Great Britain.
‘Everyone at City of Plymouth Gymnastics is incredibly proud of Nyla, and excited about what the future holds for her.’
Nyla’s ultimate dream is to be a senior gymnast representing her country at the Olympics.
Her mum, Lucy, said: ‘She was inspired by Beth Tweddle after watching the 2012 London Olympics and persuading me to take her to a local gym class after several months of nagging.
‘If there are any businesses or anyone that could help with funding that would like to support either Nyla or the City of Plymouth club in her journey, then could they get in touch.’
