Saltash Griffins 25, Liskeard Tigers 21

LISKEARD Tigers went in to this match on the back of a good run of form, but suffered a narrow defeat against a Saltash Griffins side who were the only team they were yet to face in the League this season.

With Jo Nickle stranded due to car troubles, there was a last-minute change to the Tigers' line-up, with Holly Lemon starting at centre (C) and Molly Walsh at wing attack (WA).

Tigers started well, with Gabi Duffey opening the scoring, while strong circle defence from Tamblyn Emily and Kay Barker brought the turnovers as Liskeard extended their lead to 5-1.

The second period saw Christina Broad making her Liskeard debut this season at goal shooter (GS), with Lucy Smale in goal attack (GA), Duffey out to WA and Walsh back to her more familiar C position.
