THE River Fowey Gig Club's Junior Section continues to go from strength to strength.

The youngsters are celebrating after winning the under-14s' County Championships for the second successive year, with a mixed crew of three girls and three boys pitting their wits against several all-male crews.

The latest success comes on the back of Fowey's under-16s clinching the County Mixed Championships.

The same crew also managed third place in last month's Under-16 County Championships, held at Newquay.
