Local sport in South East Cornwall has been badly hit following the Beats from the East, Storm Emma, and now the thaw.

All fixtures in the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League today (Saturday) have been postponed.

In the East Cornwall Premier League, the only surviving game is Torpoint Athletic v Launceston, with a 2.30pm kick-off.

The rugby matches, Bude v Saltash and St Agnes v Liskeard-Looe, are also off.

Saltash are due to play OPM in the Lockie Cup on Sunday at Moorlands Lane.

In hockey, all of Caradon’s home fixtures for today have been postponed and will be rearranged for later in the season.
