Most of the football fixtures featuring South East Cornwall teams have been washed out today because of the heavy rain sweeping the region.

The big local derby between Saltash United and Callington Town at Kimberley in the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League premier division was one of the first casualties.

Torpoint Athletic’s home game against Exmouth was another early morning postponement.

Other games in the premier division off are Bodmin v Cullompton, Ivybridge v Falmouth, Launceston v Godolphin, Tavistock v Sticker.

In division one west, Liskeard Athletic’s trip to St Dennis was postponed soon after breakfast time.

Dobwalls’ long trip to Mousehole was still on at 11 am, as was Bude v Wadebridge and Plymouth Marjon v Penzance (artificial pitch).

Games off were St Blazey v Bere Alston and Plymstock v Wendron.
