Liskeard’s season came to an end on Wednesday night with a narrow defeat against Mousehole in the Cornwall Charity Cup semi-final at Newquay.

A superb 25-yard strike from William Vouama five minutes from time settled a tie Mousehole had dominated.

The goal came shortly after Liskeard captain Jack Podmore had been helped off the pitch with a neck injury after an aerial collision with Mousehole defender Liam Andrew, who was booked.

Man of the match was Liskeard goalkeeper Chris Hoare, who pulled off a series of fine saves.

Mousehole will face Wadebridge in the final, with a date and venue still to be announced by Cornwall FA.
