Liskeard Athletic will be aiming to go back to the top of SWPL Division One West on Saturday when they travel to fourth-placed St Dennis (2.15pm).

The Blues were knocked off top spot last weekend when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Plymouth Marjon at Lux Park while second in the table Porthleven beat St Dennis 2-1.

But with Porthleven not having a league fixture on Saturday, three points for the Blues on Saturday would send them to the top with a two-point lead.

Joint manager Martin Hodge told the Cornish Times: ‘There are going to be lots of twists and turns right to the end of the season but the lads are up for the challenge.’

Liskeard remain unbeaten in the league this season, with 10 successive wins followed by three draws.
