Former Argyle player Lee Hodges is returning to the club as a development coach on the expanding education programme.
Hodges first joined the club on a loan spell from Tottenham in 1993 and spent
seven years as a Pilgrim from 2001 to 2008 before finally retiring to embark on a coaching career. He was recently part of the management team at Torquay United.
’It’s great for me to be back working in familiar surroundings,’ said Hodges.
’I’m working as development coach for the 16 to 18-year-olds who have just missed the boat in terms of an academy scholarship. It’s like a second chance for them on the footballing side, while they’re also picking up valuable qualifications.”
There are a number of educational programmes available, including at Duchy College, Wadebridge College and Redruth School.
