Torpoint Athletic have begun the search for a new manager following the shock resignation of Dan Cole after Wednesday’s 3-2 defeat at Tavistock.
The result had nothing to do with Cole’s decision, which is believed to have been made earlier in the week.
Cole said: ‘I have been in management in the SWPL for four years, the last two and half years with Torpoint. Its really down to my capacity to do such an important job.
‘People do not understand what running a team at this level means. I have young children and am also a teacher.’
