The annual Saltash Legends charity football match will take place at Saltmill Park on Christmas Eve in aid of Kits4Causes.

Saltash Legends Over 29s will be playing the Under 29s and the kick-off for the hotly contested match on Saturday, December 24, will be at 11am.

Spectators are invited to watch the two teams, led by Will Swales, Sam Borthwick, Jason O’Melia and Adam Stiff.

Admission will be by donation or an item of sports kit, and there will also be a raffle.

The event is being sponsored by the Crash Repair Centre, Saltash, and the ‘Man of the Match’ is being sponsored by Ryan James Plumbing and Heating.

Kits4Causes is a UK charity that collects unwanted football equipment and distributes it to social development projects around the world.

An old kit no longer worn and hanging forgotten in the wardrobe can become another child’s prized possession, says the charity.
