A goal from Stuart Bowker two minutes into time added on finally broke Callington’s stubborn resistance at Ginsters Marsh on Tuesday night.

The Carlsberg South West Peninsula League premier division game seemed to be heading for stalemate when Tom Moody took a corner from the right.

Callington goalkeeper Sam Borthwick, who sends earlier had denied Bowker with a stunning save, couldn’t get to the ball before the Bodmin striker got the final touch to a melee in the six yard box.

The goal rewarded Bodmin for their pressure in the last 20 minutes but left Callington empty-handed after they had given everything.
