The Pilgrims got the perfect boost ahead of some vital six pointers in the league with an emphatic win against fellow Plymouth outfit Activate in the Devon Women’s Senior Cup played on the 3G pitch at Tavistock College.
Both Callington Town and Dobwalls will hope this weekend hope to play their Cornwall Cup ties at Illogan RBL and Mousehole respectively after last week’s ties were postponed due to poor weather. Dobwalls travel to Illogan in good heart as they already hold a 3-0 victory over them in the first round of the Bistol SoccerWorld Cup as well as beating them 3-1 at home in the league. Callington will look to progress at the hands of Cornwall League outfit Mousehole in their efforts to reach the final again after losing in last season’s final to Newquay Celtic.
