LISKEARD Athletic are searching for a new manager after last season's successful duo of Darren Edwards and Karl Curtis told chairman Roger Williams that they were leaving the East Cornwall club.

The pair helped the Blues to their best Lea-gue position in the Carlsberg South West Peninsula last term, finishing seventh, and also led the table several times during the campaign.

Liskeard also reached the semi-finals of the Throgmorton Cup, going down 3-0 to the eventual winners, Bodmin Town, at St Blazey's Blaise Park.

Said Edwards: 'I would like to thank everyone involved at the club for them giving Karl and myself the chance to manage at this level, but we feel that present circumstances meant that we could not look forward to taking the club to a higher position in the League next season.'
