Rowett Insurance League Cup semi-final

Edgcumbe 1 Tavistock 2

Edgcumbe went out in controversial circumstances when they were denied a last-minute goal which everyone was convinced had crossed the line.

Edgcumbe got off to a terrible start when goalkeeper Richard Ferry produced an air shot to a Lee Medlin back pass.

In the second half Josh Robbins hit the Edgcumbe crossbar but with five minutes remaining Craig Holt headed in a corner.

Edgcumbe were awarded a penalty which Ricky Shepherd converted. Jake Foster then saw his header superbly saved by Tavistock goalkeeper Andy Meads but with seconds remaining another Foster header appeared to cross the goal line but was not given.
