LISKEARD-Looe were made to work hard for their 17-12 Tribute Cornwall One victory at Lux Park against a young Camborne School of Mines side.

The contest was only 11 minutes old when Camborne infringed and the Lions were awarded a penalty 25 metres out, but unfortunately the kick by James Noel-Johnson hit the upright and bounced clear.

Four minutes later, though, the hosts went ahead through Mark Davy, and Yestin Hutchings doubled the advantage, before Noel-Johnson converted to make the score 12-0 at half-time.
