SALTASH Cricket Club recently celebrated the most successful season in its history as players, volunteers and supporters gathered for their annual presentation night at The Ploughboy Inn.
Club chairman Shayn Rencher hailed a “magnificent season” for the club, which has enjoyed outstanding success across its senior sides while continuing to strengthen its women’s and youth sections.
The first XI were crowned county champions of Division Three, earning promotion to the highest level the club has ever reached.
The second XI also celebrated silverware after winning the Division Six East title, while the third eleven enjoyed an excellent first season competing in the league in Seven East.
Saltash’s women’s side continues to flourish, while its youth section is growing year on year, with teams now competing across various age groups from under-10s to under-14s.
Rencher said: “It’s been a magnificent season for everyone connected with Saltash Cricket Club.
“To see both our first and second teams crowned champions is a fantastic achievement, and the first team reaching the highest level in the club's history is something everyone should be incredibly proud of.
“Just as importantly, our third XI has made a brilliant start in the league, our women’s section continues to go from strength to strength and the growth of our junior section gives us real confidence for the future.”
The evening also recognised individual achievements throughout the 2026 campaign.
Sam Renfree was named first team batsman, with Joe Organ taking the bowling award and newcomer Darshan Sathish collecting the players' player accolade.
Duncan Nobes won the second team batting award, while Callum Iles-Wright claimed both the bowling and players' player honours.
Ben Lindsay was named third team batsman, Riley Stevens took the bowling award and Andy Rennie was voted players’ player.
