JOE Yorke has become the first golfer from St Mellion International Resort to win the Cornwall Amateur Championship.

The 20-year-old's win came at the Duchy's County Week at Launceston, where he defeated Perranporth's Chris Fleming, by four and three, in the final.

Both players have been included in the Cornwall team by captain Steve Rickard for South West Week, which takes place

at Dudsbury, Bourne-mouth, between June 8-14.4.
