Caradon expected a tough test at Lux Park against a Tavistock A side who are playing in a lower division than last year and featured new signings in their ranks.

The home team's lack of available players meant they were a man short, so a strong defensive set-up was employed to stop wave after wave of Tavistock attacks.

Despite that, they were only one down at half-time.

Captain Martin Batty's team talk focused on the positives, and the game re-started with an 'all hands on deck' approach yet again.
