CALLINGTON got their season back on the rails with an impressive victory against reigning Premier Division champions Truro at New Road.
On a surprisingly hard wicket Callington batted first against the opening seam attack of Kyle Van Rooyen and Alex Taylor.
The scoreboard was showing 33 in the ninth over when Yasser Cook was caught behind by Tim Marion off Van Rooyen for 13.
Skipper Matt Robins went cheaply but then the partnership of the day – and the season so far – was established by Jake Libby and Sam Higgins.
Libby was the more cautious of the two, taking 156 balls and hitting five fours in his 84, while Higgins robustly hit seven fours and two sixes in his 74 from 85 deliveries.
They put on 140 for the third wicket to put Callington in the driving seat.
Andy Libby and Joe White kept the momentum going with 17 and 13 not out respectively, as Callington posted a total of 232 for five, Andy Libby being run out off the last ball of the innings.
