Saltash Sailing Club was full for the cadets’ annual presentation evening.
Mike Robins, principal instructor, welcomed guests including the Mayor and Mayoress of Saltash Bill Phillips and Jean Phillips.
Commodore Mrs Nina Lillie congratulated the training team and the young cadets on their achievements during 2015, and the mayor presented them with their certificates and trophies, praising them on their various successes
The club now has 72 sailing cadets with a waiting list as more qualified instructors are needed to take the youngsters out on the water along with the safety boats. Each instructor is responsible for a certain number of cadets to comply with safety rules.
