TORPOINT Athletic showed great fighting spirit in their encounter against St Austell under the Poltair Park floodlights as they came from behind to earn a point.

The Lilywhites must have thought it was going to be their night as Ben Williams' close-range header and Mike Body's low 18-yard drive saw them go in at the interval leading 2-0.

The Tamarsiders hit back within two minutes of the restart with Darren Hicks following up, after Adam Carter's drive had been parried by the St Austell goalkeeper, to fire the ball home.

Once again, the hosts restored their two-goal advantage, with Lee Whetter back-heeling the ball home from close range.
