TORPOINT Athletic were never likely to be 'party poopers' as Bodmin Town were determined to put on a display at Priory Park before receiving the Premier Division Championship trophy after the final whistle.

The match itself failed to rise to any great hei-ghts as Town controlled possession.

The hosts took just nine minutes to open the scoring when Tom Chambers headed home from close range, and by the 18th minute it was 2-0 after a Ben Smallridge shot low past Simon Zinn.

To their credit, Torpoint held the champions at bay until midway through the second period – but that is when they caved in as Bodmin crashed in three goals in a ten-minute spell.
