CORNWALL Council has sold a former youth club in Callington for £80,000 at auction.

The detached building at 38 Liskeard Road was among the West Country lots listed for sale by the regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson.

Senior auction valuer Katie Semmens said: ‘The former youth club easily hit the mid-range mark of its freehold guide price.

‘As a large, two-storey building with great character in a prime location, it offers the new owner various options.

‘These include residential development of some kind, subject to the necessary consents.’
