YOUNG choir members in South East Cornwall have carried out acts of kindness in their community – and have released a poignant version of Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas.
The Caradon Youth Choir did their recoding in a single take, single microphone set up at St Neot Church.
The children and young adults who took part were also asked to carry out a “random act of kindness” and take photos to be made into a video montage to go with the song.
Dog walking for neighbours, writing letters, helping pack up food parcels and delivering surprise gifts to people were among the things they chose to do.
The Caradon Youth Choir is asking everyone who listens to the song to make a donation to the British Red Cross, who it says plays a vital role in emergency response both at home and abroad. The charity has continued in its 150 year role of providing help in times of crisis through the Covid-19 pandemic.
