A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued for East Cornwall for later tonight into tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday.

Storm Christoph is set to arrive from the Atlantic bringing with it extremely heavy rain. In other parts of the country forecast to be worse affected, major incidents have been declared. Parts of Yorkshire are preparing for widespread flooding as rain hits areas where there has already been snow.

The storm is not predicted to be quite as ferocious in the South West but driving conditions are likely to be affected by heavy rain today and tomorrow.
