A celebration for Year 11 students was held at the Agri-food Innovation Centre at Duchy College, Stoke Climsland. In line with Government policy, the college has been training 14- 16-year old students from local secondary schools in a range of vocational skills, from engineering and machinery to animal care. All participants received certificates to mark the completion of their courses, and trophies were awarded in each subject area to the best student, the student who gained the most from the Duchy College experience, and the most improved student. Following the presentations, students and their parents were treated to a buffet meal, during which they could chat informally with staff. The presentations were made by head of campus Terry Gentle, curriculum area manager in engineering Mark Lister, 14–16 Co-ordinator Nick Purdue, as well as tutors and lecturers Anne Coad, Bryn Moss, Hilary Spraggs, Carlotta Tournoff and Anna Tallin.
