Returning to League action, St Cleer U-14s travelled to Tamarside in the DJM Grenville U-14 and in appalling weather conditions went down disappointingly 9-0.

On their first half performance there was no sign of such a defeat as St Cleer matches their high flying opponents and conceded only one goal to Tamarsiders six foot 14-y-o centre forward Graham.

In the second half even with the hard working James Brown, St Cleer had no answer to Graham's powerful running and fine finishing, and he took his personal tally to an astonishing eight with the help of some poor defending.

This was a poor second half performance from St Cleer and a big improvement is needed if they are to remain in the top division next year.

Paul Hooper making his St Cleer debut in goal for the injured Robin Brown was left very exposed by his defenders but still managed to pull off some good saves.

James Brown deservedly won St Cleer's managers man of the match. Neil Davy picked up the Tamarsiders manager man of the match.

This week St Cleer have a home fixture against fellow strugglers Prince Rock. However there is some doubt regarding the match due to school commitments.
