With a few tired legs from the previous day's league game and a few 'irregular' players Liskeard travelled to Newquay early on Sunday morning to defend their title only to be drawn on the grass pitch for the heats!

Beating Bodmin, St Agnes and Falmouth II, drawing with Launceston and loosing to Falmouth I was enough to put them through to the semi final.

Cornwall hockey giants - St Austell were the opposition for this match. As Liskeard quickly got their Astro feet back, St Austell worked themselves into a frenzy and still failed to score past star keeper Mel Box. A penalty shoot out decided the place in the final for St Austell. But for team spirit and sportsmanship Liskeard won hands down!

Training will continue on Thursday nights until the mixed summer league begins. The end of the season celebration will be on Saturday May 6 so please keep your diaries clear and watch this space.
