CRAFTERS, knitters and yarn lovers from all over Cornwall and Devon descended on Liskeard’s Public Hall for the town’s annual wool market.

Over 500 people attended the event, making the fifth wool market the biggest ever so far, said Rachel Brooks of the organising team.

Children’s activities, ‘make and take’ sessions, live music and a cafe were all part of the creative and relaxing evening.

New for this year’s event was a popular ‘yarn swap’, and people were able to make a donation if they didn’t have anything to bring.

‘This, along with a raffle, raised £340 for the mental health charity MIND,’ said Rachel.

‘We were delighted to welcome so many people and to raise money for such a good cause.’

Woolly workshops staged by 3 Bags Full will continue until October 20 - for more details visit www.3bagsfull.org.
