Can I through your letters page comment on a member of staff from Safeway, whom I was fortunate enough to get served by. I work in customer services and have undergone a lot of training in this field. I think it fair to say that in this day and age people are quick to criticise and very slow to compliment. That is why I felt the need to put pen to paper. I was waiting my turn behind a couple of people; a young man I know only as Daniel was serving us. Daniel was polite, friendly and very helpful to the customers in front and continued in the same vein when he served me. He was a breath of fresh air and very professional, he seemed to be enjoying every minute of his job. His customer contact skills were second to none and it was so refreshing to see such eagerness to be helpful. I have forwarded this letter to the manager at Safeway in the hope that Daniel gets a very deserved 'pat on the back'.
