A WEEKEND of concerts in Saltash saw the Saltash Ladies Choir perform with guests the Queen’s Dock Ukulele Band.

Audience participation was encouraged during the lively programme, which included sea shanties and other popular songs.

Proceeds from the event are for the St Barnabas Hospital League of Friends.

Meanwhile A Summer Proms concert by the RWindband included compositions by Robert Sheldon, Philip Sparke, Elgar, Wagner and ‘The Lone Arranger’ by Philip Buttall, a Plymouth music critic.

Cream teas were served and the concert ended with flag waving to well known war time songs.
