One lamb has been found dead and another was left ‘barely alive’, sparking warnings to dog owners.
A new lamb at a farm near Mornick, South Hill, was found with a torn throat and broken leg on Sunday night (April 9). There were paw prints of a large dog on the scene.
And on Tuesday morning (April 11) a large lamb was found dead in a field on the South Hill road just outside Golberdon village.
Farmers are asking that dog owners keep their animals under control at all times and say if a dog is found worrying sheep, if will be shot.
