Cornwall volunteers have been praised by a national charity after donating almost 20,000 hours of help last year.

Barnardo’s is highlighting the importance of local support in advance of national Volunteers’ Week (June 1-7).

Last year almost a hundred people offered a combined total of 19,800 hours of help in its shops and children’s services across the county.
