Vintage vehicle owners are being encouraged to take part in Callington’s carnival procession this year.

The carnival is on Saturday, July 1, and it is by no means too late to enter a float, says the town council.

The event is always well supported by clubs and groups within the community, and last year’s carnival procession included many colourful entries on foot and on floats.

‘This year we are hoping to add interesting vehicles to the procession,’ said a spokesperson.

‘If you are the proud owner of a classic car, a vintage agricultural vehicle, a military vehicle, a penny farthing or any other such form of transport which would be of interest, why not give it an airing at Callington Carnival?’
