Villagers on a diversion route from the A38 have raised concerns about speeding drivers.
A section of the main road is closed westbound in the Glynn Valley for improvement works and traffic is being diverted through East Taphouse.
Residents are unhappy with the speeds of some of the drivers going through their village.
Their concerns have been picked up by the Peninsula Road Safety Partnership which runs a speed camera team.
A spokesperson for the partnership said: ‘Residents of East Taphouse have raised concerns about speeding.
‘Since the A38 Glynn Valley was closed due to roadworks, motorists have been diverted through the village and the perception is that many of them are driving too fast.
‘The safety camera team, who have enforced at this location for some time, have highlighted that they are continuing to detect a significant number of offences despite an additional warning sign.
‘Therefore, they will continue to deploy at this site to ensure that road users adhere to the speed limit and to help reduce the concerns of local residents.’
