Liskeard Old Cornwall Society has changed the venue for its annual Mid Summer’s Eve Bonfire event. Previously held at Siblyback Lake, it will this year move to St Cleer Sports Ground at Hockings House and take place on Thursday, June 23, at 6.30pm. There will be a re-enactment in Cornish and English of the ancient ceremony held to prolong the summer and guarantee a bountiful harvest. Admission is free and there will be entertainment and refreshments.
