A scout hut that's been the target of vandals on countless occasions has been struck once again.

In the latest attack, Liskeard Scout Hut has had fence panels ripped out, guttering damaged and graffiti sprayed on the walls.

Mark Pengelly, Liskeard's group scout leader, said: 'We've had spates of vandalism like this for three years now.

'The worst of the damage – like the obscene graffiti – has to get cleared off straightaway, but some of it we just haven't had the time or the money to fix.

'We have to pay for the repairs with funding that could be used to take the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers on camps.

'Instead, we have to ask the parents for more money all the time.'
