Liskeard Ath 2

Probus 2

Lowly Liskeard have gone five games with-out a victory... but if luck had gone their way this fixture would have halted that poor form.

Having taken a comfortable 2-0 lead, the Blues fell away after crucial injuries to two defenders completely disrupted their defensive formation.

Liskeard played well in

the first half, but had to wait until the 25th minute to take the lead when Daryl Johnson headed in a corner.

Twenty minutes into the second period, Lee Caers made it 2-0 when he bundled the ball into the net following a goalmouth mêlée'.  However, the Blues' defence was severely disrupted when they lost defenders Richard Hill and Kevin Mee through injury.

Sensing a chance of getting back into the game, Probus became more adventurous and in the 80th minute Liam Paddock raced on to a through-ball to slam in and reduce the arrears.

With time running out, Paddock netted his second when Liskeard failed to clear, leaving the striker to coolly slot the ball under the goalkeeper
