Wilcove Village Community Association received 470 bare-root beech trees this week to landscape around their hall and outdoor area. Volunteers from the village turned out to help plant all the trees that will provide screening and shelter in years to come. The trees were received from The Silvanus Trust (TST), which has worked in partnership for many years with Western Power Distribution (WPD). TST is a registered charity offering information, education, advice and demonstration on all aspects of woodlands. WPD has spent many thousands of pounds each year on trees, shrubs and hedges for the benefit of local communities in Devon and Cornwall.
