Following illness, former Roche and
St Austell all-rounder Jonathan Yelland has died aged 41.
Having opened the bowling for Cornwall Schools in the early 1980s, he went on to represent Roche in Senior Division One East before becoming an integral part of St Austell's County Championship-winning team of the early 90s.
He was also a very good local footballer.
Tributes have been flooding in from family, friends and the local cricket community, and his funeral will take place tomorrow at St Stephen Church at 10.30 am, followed by cremation at Penmount.
