Last Thursday we went to see 'Into The Woods' at Sterts, Upton Cross. Anticipation was not high. Stephen Sondheimis music is difficult and the plot is a little obscure....

Yet, I am writing to say what a tremendous treat it was - a feast of good things. The production sparkled, the acting, the singing, the movement, the humour, the wit - and an enraptured audience.

The poise and talent displayed throughout by 13 year old Alison Lynch as Little Red Riding Hood was brilliant, yet it would be unfair to single her out - the whole cast under the direction of Andrew Hawkins was simply superb.

Woven together are the well known Fairy Stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel, but do they live happily ever after? When the Storyteller finds himself drawn into his own story and the giants wife comes looking for revenge anything can happen - and it does!

Don't miss it! I shall certainly be going again.
