Heritage, regeneration, traffic problems and community assets are all on the agenda at the St Blazey, Fowey and Lostwithiel Community Network Panel meeting on Monday (October 17).
Rachael Bice, the strategic environment and waste manager from Cornwall Council, will be providing information about the St Austell and Resilient Regeneration project (STARR). This will include how funding is being sought for this scheme which aims to reduce flood risk to communities living and working in the St Austell Bay Area; and support regeneration.
There will also be information about the Heritage Lottery Funded Luxulyan Valley Project, which aims to restore the historic Treffry Viaduct and explore the history of the Luxulyan Valley and nearby Par and St Blazey.
Christine Garwood, from Cornwall Council, will give an update on the work done with the development grant so far.

Planning: Irreversible harm caused to building among biggest planning stories of 2025Following a request from one of the local councillors, representatives from CORMAC will be coming along to discuss various highways matters around the network area.
And Jon Rolls from the Real Ideas Organisation will be attending to talk about supporting communities who are looking to take on community assets or run local services. Jon will explain how communities can be supported through the Engine Room; a business programme designed to help social enterprises.
The network panel meets quarterly to discuss matters that affect the local area and to agree priorities.
The St Blazey, Fowey and Lostwithiel Community Network Panel includes all five Cornwall Councillors for the area, representatives of the eight Parish Councils (Boconnoc, Broadoak, Lanlivery, Luxulyan, St Sampson, St Veep, St Winnow and Tywardreath and Par) and three Town Councils (Fowey, Lostwithiel, St Blaise).
