Towns in South East Cornwall face gridlocked streets this summer if more is not done to stop people parking illegally according to leading figures.

Civil enforcement officers (CEOs) are currently employed by Cornwall Council to deal with parking enforcement and many people say since they took over from the police it has increased the number of parking problems in towns and created 'major issues' in the last two years.

'Lack of enforcement is causing difficulties with safety and access all around the town,' said Looe mayor Michael Joy.
