Flower festival
Floral fragrance and melodic music will fill the air at Maryfield Church near Torpoint next month.
"We are planning a stunning flower festival with a number of musical events ranging from our brilliant local ladies choir to organ recitals, a songs of praise session and a jazz evening," said Veronica Bright from the Anglican church which is situated near Antony House.
"We are hoping that hundreds of people will support us. We're raising funds for two causes, the proceeds to be divided evenly between both.
"They are World Vision, an international charity which provides practical help to needy people in many places in the world, and our own church funds. We have a beautiful church building and, like every other church building, there is always something demanding attention!"
The festival is being held on April 29 and 30 and May 1. The church is asking for donations of flowers or money towards flowers, particularly from people who have connections with Maryfield. Contact 01752 812027 if you would like to help.
