THE annual torchlight procession, organised by Looe Town Council, is set to take place on Thursday, December 16, and this year there will be a collection for the Mayor's Charity, which is the Chestnut Appeal. Members of the community wishing to take part are asked to assemble at one of the four starting points around the town, ready for the off at 6.30pm. These are the fire station and Millpool car park at West Looe, and The Globe Inn and seafront outside the Admiral Boscarn, in West Looe. The parades all process to Buller Quay car park where there will be a Christmas carol service accompanied by St Pinnock Silver Band at 7pm. All are welcome afterwards to meet in The Guildhall where members of SECTA (South East Cornwall Tourism Association) will be serving refreshments. The band will also be there to provide another opportunity for more carol singing.
