The organisers of the New Year's Eve fireworks in Looe are 'still fighting' to get the necessary funds for the event.

With six weeks to go until the £4,000 total needs to be in, more than a quarter of the amount still needs to be raised.

Organisers, who have thanked those getting behind the event, claim only 25 per cent of businesses in the town are supporting the event, despite 90 per cent having letters about it through their doors.
