Tigers gain their first victory of the season

LISKEARD Tigers claimed their first victory of the campaign with this comfortable result away to Camborne-based Lastonet's second string.

Going into the fixture on the back of two close defeats, the Tigers started well to establish a cushion, but miscommunication saw Lastonet keep the deficit to just two goals.

The second quarter saw the visitors take charge. Excellent movement over the whole the court gave the shooters, Sophie Hocking and Kirstie Chappell, the chance to convert and extend their team's advantage to 21-13 at half-time.
