A TICKETLESS draw has raised £26,276 for Cornwall Hospice Care.

Instead of mailing supporters with books of draw tickets, the Cornish charity asked supporters to buy up to 20 numbers to raise £20 each, which is what it costs to fund a nurse for an hour.

Lottery manager Sarah Vincent said: ‘We had a fantastic response to our first ticketless draw and our supporters have definitely embraced the new style of raffle. It meant we were able to cut the costs of ticket printing, as well as saving our supporters the job of sticking labels onto stubs which can get a bit, well, sticky!

‘Our nursing staff are at the heart of the care we provide. By taking part in our summer raffle, supporters have helped us to continue providing the specialist care we offer to terminally-ill patients and their families, carers and friends. It makes a real difference and we are very thankful to our summer draw supporters.’
